ASTILBE.These hardy herbaceous perennials are cultivated by gardeners for their large, handsome, often fern-like foliage, and dense, feathery plumes of flowers. They are widely adapted to shade and water-logged conditions, hence they are particularly associated with pond-side planting. They also tolerate clay soils well.

Rhododendron

Azaleas are generally slow-growing and do best in well-drained acidic soil (4.5–6.0 pH).[1]Fertilizer needs are low; some species need regular pruning.

Dahlia

Dahlia.Perennial plants, with mostly tuberous roots. While some have herbaceous stems, others have stems which lignify in the absence of secondary tissue and resprout following winter dormancy, allowing further seasons of growth. Each floret is a flower in its own right

Evening Primrose

The flowers of many species open in the evening, hence the name "evening primrose". They may open in under a minute.  Most native desert species are white. Oenothera caespitosa, a species of western North America, produces white flowers that turn pink with age.

It is a popular ornamental plant in gardens, and widely used in floristry. The plants can tolerate light frost, but are not hardy at temperatures below -10°C. Some strains such as 'Tecolote' and 'Bloomingdale' produce double flowers .

Fouchsia

Fouchsia.Most fuchsias are shrubs from 0.2–4 m The flowers are very decorative; they have a pendulous "teardrop" shape and are displayed n profusion throughout the summer and autumn, and all year in tropical species.

Cyclamen

Flowering time may be any month of the year, depending on the species. Cyclamen hederifolium and Cyclamen purpurascens bloom in summer and autumn, Cyclamen persicum and coum bloom in winter, and Cyclamen repandum blooms in spring.

Sunflowers

Sunflowers are usually tall annuals, that grow to a height of 50–400 centimetres (20–157 in). The rough and hairy stem is branched in the upper part in wild plants but is usually unbranched in domesticated cultivars.

Begonia

In general, begonias require a well-drained growing medium that is neither constantly wet nor allowed to dry out completely. Many begonias will grow and flower year-round except for tuberous begonias, which usually have a dormant period.

CUPHEA

Cuphea  is a genus containing about 260 species of annual and perennial flowering plants native to warm temperate to tropical regions of the Americas. The species range from low-growing herbaceous plants to semi-woody shrubs up to 2 m (6 ft 7 in) tall.

Impatiens

Impatiens are popular garden annuals. Hybrids, typically derived from busy lizzie (I. walleriana) and New Guinea impatiens (I. hawkeri), have commercial importance as garden plants.

Portulaca grandiflora

Portulaca grandiflora.Numerous cultivars have been selected for double flowers with additional petals, and for variation in flower color,  and it is widely grown in temperate climates as an ornamental plant for annual bedding or as a container plant. It requires ample sunlight and well-drained soils.
